Sparkles!!!

The boys have discovered the joys of glitter glue.
Big Bug was especially generous in his application. Gotta love valentines with monster trucks on them! I love having boys.

keeping little hands busy

This is Middle Bug making me some "flowers". Just something little that keeps him busy for 5 or so minutes while Big Bug and I do something else. I love his little hands.

Passport

Finally I got around to doing Big Bug's passport project for "Kindergarten Around the World". I am such a procrastinator, poor kiddo. The printable passport (pic above) is from Erica's "Confessions of a Homeschooler" Expedition Earth curriculum which I bought for the semester (and am loving!).
Just $15 dollars for the download. This pic (below) is my passport with some of the flags we've been using, just took it for fun.

First Day, First Post

Until this week, I have been an avid "non-blogger". I'm even a bit shocked that I'm about to do this. But during a conversation with a good friend, I had my aha moment. It's up to me to document our kids' memories. And physical scrapbooking has always overwhelmed me. And I've never been great at sending out pics to grandparents and other out of town relatives. So, I hold this newborn blog with great hopes. Hopes to connect more with my friends and family. Hopes to save those sweet, daily moments of this fast moving life.

Raw sugar. There is nothing better than a strong cup of dark roasted coffee with half and half and a spoonful of raw sugar. The mollasas-y depth of the sugar perfectly sweetens the sharp edge of black coffee. Sweetness, unrefined and unprocessed. Like my life, it's not prim and pretty like a china sugar bowl full of sparkly whiteness. Nope, it's crazy and raw and chaotic and daily and busy and normal. And it's sweet. Like the bowl of raw sugar that sits on top of my microwave. God's blessings are running around me every day in the bodies of my three little men. God's love is evidenced through the love of my wonderful husband. So, hopefully, through the many naptime blog posts ahead, raw sugar sweetened coffee in hand, I will spend little bits of time reflecting on this. Life is raw. Life is sweet. And I don't want it to slip through my fingers unnoticed.
